Prepare
Use a stable 12–14 V supply. Connect J1962 pin 5 to signal ground and pin 9 to the compatible ALDL interface.

Install
Install the USB serial driver or the manufacturer's 32-bit J2534 Pass-Thru driver before opening the application.
Choose mode
Select Bench cluster when only the IPC is powered, or In vehicle when connected through the car's diagnostic socket.
Connect
Choose the COM port or discovered J2534 device, connect, and read Cluster ID before changing any setting.
Read first
Read configuration and fuel calibration. Save a manual mapped backup if desired; otherwise V13.7 saves one baseline before the first write.
Write carefully
Change one item, keep power and the cable connected, and wait for the verified read-back shown in Write Safety Centre.
Stop before writing when
- Supply is unstable or below the safe range.
- Cluster ID cannot be read consistently.
- The selected family/profile does not match the connected cluster.
- The cable is receiving only its own echo.
- The first-write baseline cannot be completed.
Include the GM part number, connection type, Bench/In vehicle mode and exact Activity result in a private support request.
