Website and software terms

These terms apply to the Holden OBD Tools website, customer account and VY/VZ IPC Editor access. By creating an account, purchasing access or using the software, you agree to them.

Access term and price

The advertised price is $80 AUD per month. The customer selects a fixed 1, 3, 6 or 12-month access term before checkout. The current fixed-term product does not automatically renew; any future recurring offer must be identified clearly at checkout and separately authorised.

Account and computer licence

A customer subscription is personal to the account holder and permits one registered Windows computer at a time. Website sign-in does not consume that slot. A computer may be released through My account subject to the stated cooldown, or by the owner for legitimate replacement/support. Permanent owner access is separate and unlimited.

Permitted use

You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the compiled software during active access for lawful diagnostic and supported programming work. You must not share credentials, sell access, bypass licence controls, distribute the package, or reverse engineer it except to the extent a restriction is prohibited by applicable law.

Vehicle and programming responsibility

You are responsible for confirming cluster identity, compatible hardware, safe power, backups and the intended setting. Do not interrupt an active write. The service-kilometre function is not a vehicle-odometer write, and odometer writing is not included. Use spare hardware for unproven work.

Availability and updates

Internet access is needed for sign-in and downloads. Reasonable maintenance and security changes may occur. A current package and integrity hash are published in the protected download area; older builds may be retained for rollback where appropriate.

Consumer guarantees

Nothing in these terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable Australian Consumer Law guarantees. The ACCC explains that businesses cannot remove consumer guarantees with blanket “no refunds” wording. See the ACCC consumer rights and guarantees.

Independent product

Holden, HSV, Chevrolet, Bosch, Autel and other marks belong to their respective owners. Holden OBD Tools is an independent project and is not affiliated with or endorsed by vehicle or interface manufacturers.
